Bolton: Royal Bolton Hospital: talk to GPs by ENT consultant Neel Umapathy on 1 February

Durham: Durham Tinnitus Support Group will be taking information to local GPs

Devon: BBC Radio Devon interview on Tuesday 7 February 2012, 1-2pm

Glasgow: Action on Hearing Loss Scotland will be mailing GPs in the West End of Glasgow

Liverpool: Tony Kay, Head of Audiology Services at Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has produced an 8 minute consultation guide for GPs.

Macclesfield: Macclesfield District General Hospital will be raising awareness of tinnitus across the Trust.

Manchester: Action on Hearing Loss will be displaying Tinnitus Awareness Week posters

Milton Keynes: Action on Hearing Loss will be displaying Tinnitus Awareness Week posters

Northampton: Northampton Tinnitus Support Group are mailing GP and members with our new leaflets and Ten Top Tinnitus Tips for GPs

Oxford: BBC Radio Oxford interview on Monday 6 February 2012, approximately 8.15am

Oxfordshire: Oxfordshire County Council have requested leaflets to distribute

Salisbury: Action on Hearing Loss will be displaying Tinnitus Awareness Week posters

Sandwell (Berkshire): Patient Focus Group's Monthly Health Awareness campaign will be on tinnitus

Smethwick: Coffee morning (date and time to be confirmed) at Ideal for All, Independent Living Centre, 100 Oldbury Road, Smethwick

Wigton: Wigton Lipreading Group will be having a tinnitus information session

Woodford Green: Sensory Services on Southend Road will be displaying Tinnitus Awareness Week posters

 

Irish Tinnitus Association

  • contacting all the 2 500 GPs in Ireland, sending them some of our leaflets and a letter
  • manning stands in Dublin hospitals during the week
  • contacting all Audiology departments in National Hospitals with a poster and information
  • sending tinnitus information to all national and local media 
  • DeafHear offices will have posters in their windows and extra tinnitus information inside, and some will be manning tinnitus awareness stands in libraries/local centres
