If you are an audiologist and would be interested in holding an event or presenting at an event, to share your tinnitus expertise with GPs, you may find the presentations here useful.

Already used and proven to work, these examples will show you the sort of information to include. If you would like any further details, please dont hesitate to get in touch with the BTA on 0114 250 9933 or by email at info@tinnitus.org.uk

More information about the presentations

Michelle Booth works for the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as the Clinical Lead for Adult Audiology. Her presentation was designed both to advertise their tinnitus services and to prompt other audiology departments to look into the idea of direct access clinics for tinnitus - these clinics are in a minority at present.

Tony Kay is Senior Chief Audiologist and Head of Audiology Services in the Elective Care Centre at Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His presentation was designed to raise awareness amongst GPs about what modern options are available for tinnitus patients.

Chris Dowrick is a Professor of Primary Medical Care at the University of Liverpool and is also a GP at Aintree Park Group Practice. Chris’ presentation was used at a local tinnitus support group and was written from the perspective of a GP who lives with tinnitus. It was and is hoped that GPs could use this information both to inform themselves and their patients about the subject.
