Local support groups and contacts

Some Audiologists and Hearing Therapists believe local Support Groups have much to offer, especially if linked with their local tinnitus clinic. The benefits of self help groups are that they may provide hope to others and act as a local action group (check posters are displayed in in GP clinics, provide local support to local people unable to get to meetings or use the internet, hold coffee mornings and sponsored events, assist with information stands at local events). They may also campaign with their PCT for better tinnitus support and reduced waiting lists.

If you are interested in starting a self help group, contact us, there may be one already in your area. If not we can help you get started. Listed below are local tinnitus support groups and contacts.

The Groups listed are run by volunteers, the majority of whom have experience of tinnitus, and can therefore provide support. Many hold group meetings and events, all of which you can find out by contacting them.

The Contacts are also volunteers who help to provide help and support - they do not, however, hold meetings or events.

Some Groups and Contacts have requested that their details do not appear on the internet, if this is the case, please contact the BTA. If you know of a group or contact that is not listed or if you are interested in setting one up, please do contact us.
