Celebrating our amazing volunteers

At the BTA we're lucky enough to have some incredible volunteers who give their time to help both us and the tinnitus community. In doing so they enable us to do far more than we could without them. We feel it's really important to make sure they know how much we appreciate them, so during June, when it's Volunteers Week, we always try to have a lunch with them, here in the office in Sheffield.

We also use the lunch to have a Tea for Tinnitus Party, as June is also Tea for Tinnitus month, where staff members make and bring in homemade treats to share with everyone.

On Wednesday 5 June, we had a really nice lunch as a group, and after eating we had a few minutes of fun, each decorating a bun. These were then judged to get the top three designs. Each of us had a few minutes to select toppings and then just 3 minutes to create the bun - no utensils were allowed so it was a little bit sticky, but a lot of fun! We all really enjoyed our party, it was a great way to celebrate the volunteers and give something back to them to show how much they mean to us.

If you'd be interested in supporting the BTA through volunteering, we have lots of opportunities and you can find out more here.

And if you would like to hold your own Tea for Tinnitus party, or try out our new Tea Tally, you can find out all you need to know here!
