Events Assistant

We want a world where no one suffers from tinnitus. To facilitate the increased growth of the BTA, the role of Events Assistant has been created to work alongside the Events Manager in the organisation and running of a range of training courses, professional networks, information events, conferences and exhibitions. There will also be administrative support to the wider organisation.

The role is highly visible and working with both medical professionals and members of the public so you’ll need to be friendly, outgoing, helpful, smart and presentable. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key duties include:

  • Working both with the Events Manager and independently, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of the events calendar to both public and professional audiences
  • Building on the existing calendar creating new and bespoke activities
  • Processing bookings, record business receipts, invoices and expense claims
  • Database management
  • Representing the BTA at a range of external events promoting the charity

The person:

  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Responsive to change, resourceful and proactive with excellent interpersonal skills
