Research Research news Our recent research journey We want a world where no one suffers from tinnitus. This means helping people to manage their tinnitus now and, ultimately, finding a cure. We’ve been working hard over the last few years to make sure that we can evidence how urgent this is, and to make sure that we’re in the best position to be able to do this. Our progress so far 2017 – led on and published a paper on the economic impact of tinnitus 2018 – developed a cure map to identify how to find a cure and what to prioritise 2019 – identified key barriers to finding a cure in our ‘Why is there no cure for tinnitus’ paper 2019 – set the five research funding priorities that we’re looking to invest in 2020 – held a tinnitus roundtable event at the House of Commons 2020 – published our Tinnitus Manifesto, which we’re using to lobby for increased research funding and capacity 2020 – more than 115,000 of you are helping us show how urgent this is by signing our petition What’s next? We’ve had 9 excellent applications to our research fund but without additional funding most of these won’t happen. AND We want to develop a Tinnitus Biobank (a database of health information) for a long-term study into factors associated with tinnitus. We need your help! Help us to understand tinnitus in order to cure tinnitus
