News Tinnitus support across the UK is increasing The British Tinnitus Association has assisted in the formation of several new tinnitus support groups By working with volunteers and partner organisations across the UK, the BTA is happy to have had three new tinnitus support groups start in September as well as new groups starting in the next couple of months. In September, new groups met in Stockport, Whitehaven, and Burnley. The BTA also partnered with the Wales Council for Deaf People to register groups in Newport and Ystradgynlais. Volunteers interested in starting their own support group following the BTA's "Leeds Tinnitus Support" event in June 2019 are having their first group meeting on Friday 8 November, 2-3:30pm at the John Lewis Community Hub in Leeds. More details can be found here. North Tyneside will also see a new group starting, organised by deaf awareness: NE. Meetings will take place on the first Wednesday of the month, 1-3pm at the Linskill Centre in North Shields. More details can be found here.
