Trusts and Foundations Officer

This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in a trusts and foundations environment for at least two years and who is looking to progress with a new challenge in a national health charity.  Candidates should be confident and outgoing, well organised, and have a good eye for detail.  You will be responsible for managing an established grant funding programme and securing new funders to further the work of the BTA. Transferable skills will be considered for the right person

Key duties

Responsible for raising funds from grant giving Trusts and Foundations in partnership with other members of the fundraising team. In particular working with the Grants Manager and Head of Major Giving in the following ways:

  • Research and apply to new and existing trusts and foundations
  • Support and oversee fundraising volunteers
  • To achieve agreed grant income targets
  • Providing administrative support for wider fundraising campaigns and committees

The person

You should be an established and driven grant fundraiser with a willingness to succeed.  We are looking for someone who has strong organisational skills, likes a challenge, and has an eye for detail.  You will have the opportunity to use your creative writing skills to present persuasive ‘asks’ to a range of grant funders in order to help the BTA support more people with tinnitus and achieve our vision of ‘a world where no on suffers from tinnitus’.
