The British Tinnitus Association are proud and excited to be involved in bringing back this acclaimed course, together with an esteemed faculty and a superb, modern venue the 29th European Tinnitus Course returns with an exciting study programme.

Course History:

Developed by Dr Ross Coles in the late 1970's, last running in 2010 there have been 28 courses to date, making it one of the longest running tinnitus courses in the world. Since it's conception there have understandably been many changes during this period; not only has the teaching faculty changed with time but our knowledge of tinnitus has also changed and with it the content of the course. 

Course Structure:

Presenting modern concepts and management of tinnitus and hyperacusis in a multidisciplinary, evidence-based manner, the course will be comprised of smaller group sessions and traditional teaching. Over the 3 Days of the course you will cover the following areas:

  • Basic science, definitions and clinical assessment
  • Mainstream treatments
  • Special populations and other treatment modalities
  • Academic

Our new home at The Studio, Manchester is at the heart of the city and is a creative and vibrant learning space adaptable to the needs of this course with spaces where you can be at your most productive, with dedicated refreshment areas for relaxation and revival. Enjoy breaks on the large adjoining balcony, or relax in the open plan lounge suite where you can refuel from a locally sourced, nutritionally designed menu cooked by onsite chefs and unlimited refreshments.

The course is primarily aimed at healthcare professionals in Audiology, Psychology, ENT and Audio Vestibular Medicine who have already acquired their basic proficiencies but are wishing to specialise in tinnitus. The course is also relevant to scientists undertaking research in the field of tinnitus and hyperacusis.
