Jackie obtained her BSc and Ph.D. in Biology for the University of Southampton, where she was also President of the Postgraduate Students Union. Following a teaching role in Biology at Bedford College, London University, Jackie joined the private sector and occupied a number of senior positions within sales and marketing; culminating in the posts of Director of sales and marketing for four multinational companies, before retiring in 2013.

For the last 30 years Jackie has had a professional association with the NHS and is keen to utilise this knowledge within the charity sector. Having contracted tinnitus herself as a result of over exposure to loud music, she believes passionately in the objectives of the BTA and is delighted to have joined the board of trustees.

Jackie lives in London. She enjoys keeping fit at the gym, walking, reading, the arts and spending time with her family.
