About our work News An Inspiring Tea Party On Sunday 23 July, we attended a Tea for Tinnitus party, organised by Inspiral Carpets, celebrating the life of the late Craig Gill. The party, held at Salford Lads Club, was amazing, and it was incredible to be part of it. 100's of people came along to show their love and affection for Craig, and to help raise awareness of tinnitus and to raise funds for us. Clint Boon was in charge of the music, he also auctioned off music memorabilia AND allotment grown potatoes from Mike Joyce, drummer with The Smiths. We were able to meet Stephen Holt, who recently became a Plug'em Ambassador, and Andy Burnham, Mayor of Manchester who came along and spoke with us about tinnitus and the need to protect hearing. There were tea and refreshments available and cakes were on sale from the lovely people at Saddleworth Bakehouse - they were so amazing in fact that they sold out! Cakes and bakes were also brought along by those coming to the party and it truly was amazing to see how everyone came together to celebrate Craig's life. Thank you so much to Rose Gill and her family, for letting us be part of this very special and emotional day. If you would like to donate to the Tea Party in memory of Craig, the JustGiving page is still open at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/inspiralsteaparty.
