Do you experience tinnitus or tinnitus-related distress? Would you like to take part in new tinnitus-related research?

Lisa Ashton, an MSc student at Leeds Trinity University, is looking for people who experience tinnitus or tinnitus-related distress to take part in some new research.

They will be asking participants to complete a series of surveys on tinnitus distress, social anxiety, and personality to investigate the relationship between these factors and tinnitus treatment access/engagement.

Tinnitus habituation is one of the biggest challenges for individuals who experience tinnitus-related distress.

The team hope that this research will provide further insight into the challenges resulting from tinnitus, and in turn reduce the risk of associated psychological difficulties that often occur alongside/as a result of tinnitus and tinnitus-related distress.

How to take part

If you are interested in taking part, or have any questions please email Lisa Ashton.

Those who do participate are free to withdraw at any point and your data will be removed from the study.

The study is open to all individuals with tinnitus until 31st December 2022.
