The Annual Review gives us the opportunity to tell you more about our activities in the past 12 months, about our exciting plans for the future, and to report on the income and expenditure of the charity.

Last year saw the BTA take significant strides forward in a number of areas. I am most proud that we funded over £576,000 of research in 2015/16: 53% of our spend.

We now have 14 active research projects to help us understand manage and hopefully cure tinnitus, more than at any other point in our history. All of this is only possible because of the generous support of our members, donors and supporters.

As well as continuing to develop and enhance our core services, we launched our new prevention campaign, Plug’em and started up Regional Tinnitus Networks for professionals to share knowledge.

The next year will be an exciting one at the BTA. We plan to commission more new research, and we hope to be reporting on a new strategy next year.

We are redesigning our website to make it easier to use - as you can see here! - and increasing our online resources for people with tinnitus.

We’re also aiming for Tinnitus Awareness Week 2017 to be the best one yet – watch this space!
