Research Taking part in research Estimating the socioeconomic cost of tinnitus – respondents needed The scientific literature highlights a serious lack of studies estimating, in detail, the economic burden of tinnitus on healthcare systems, patients, their families and society. Researchers at the UNITI tinnitus research consortium are trying to solve this gap by running a study. As part of this study they have created a survey that they are asking people with tinnitus across Europe to complete. With this survey they hope to gain insight into the financial burden to the individual, as well as to society, associated with suffering from tinnitus with the final aim to obtain an estimate of the health care costs associated with tinnitus.
