Input from tinnitus professionals requested for important UK Action Plan for Hearing Loss and Tinnitus research.

A team of researchers from Manchester, Nottingham and University College London Biomedical Research Centres, have been tasked by DHSC and NHS England to develop an Action Plan for Hearing Loss and Tinnitus research.

A Research Action Plan is a list of recommendations related to short, medium and long-term goals for research and the strategic steps required to achieve these goals in next 5 years. It will be used to inform the DHSC and NHS England policies for hearing and tinnitus research, and influence and direct future research funding.

To identify the goals and steps, the team need to understand the experiences and opinions of researchers working on hearing loss and/or tinnitus and what needs to be improved for future research.

Can you help?

The team are looking for academic researchers and healthcare professionals delivering research on hearing loss or tinnitus in the UK.

They are interested in the experiences of those working in basic/discovery science, translational, applied/clinical research, or on policy research.

The team would like to invite you to complete this online survey. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.

This survey will close on Sunday 7 August.

Please note that your responses will only be viewed by the research team working on the Hearing Loss and Tinnitus Action Plan. You will not be able to be identified from the answers you submit.

If you have any questions about the survey, please email the research team.

It is important that a wide range of views are captured. Please feel free to share this link to any academic researchers and healthcare professionals you think would be interested in taking part in this research.
