2017 Meetings

On the following Saturdays, 3-5pm:

  • 25 March
  • 27 May
  • 29 July: Sam May will be giving a short talk. Sam runs acupuncture clinics in Bristol and Somerset combining the practice of Five Element Acupuncture with Traditional Chinese Medicine and auricle acupuncture.

    Sam also practices Tibetan Massage and teaches Qi Gong. He has also been teaching meditation for over 20 years, in both traditional and clinical settings. He has had a positive experience with a couple of his tinnitus patients.

  • 30 September:
    Simon Barnes will be giving a talk on mindfulness. Simon has masters degree in teaching mindfulness based approaches and has been teaching mindfulness for several years. He himself is a tinnitus sufferer and will also talk about his experience of managing tinnitus with mindfulness approach.
  • 25 November
    Dr Helen Pryce will be discussing her latest research project, the development of a Patient Decision Aid for Shared Decision Making. Helen is a senior lecturer at Aston University, Birmingham, and the Clinical Consultant for Sirona Care and Health. She also has a clinical background in Hearing Therapy and has practised as a hearing therapist for the last 25 years.
