Where the group meets Christ the King ChurchMautravers CloseBradley StokeBristol, BS32 8EE When the group meets 2020 Meetings On the following Saturdays, 3-5pm: 7th March This Saturday we will be joined by Chris Morris a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist who will be giving a talk on how hypnotherapy can reduce the anxiety caused by Tinnitus. Chris has had Tinnitus for nearly 40 years and suffered anxiety and bouts of depression for many years until he had solution focused hypnotherapy 10 years ago. Although Chris notices the whistle/ringing at times he is able to ignore it and get on with his life. He will explain how and why we suffer from anxiety etc and how hypnotherapy can help. Chris will also do a short relaxation session as an example of the process and is happy to answer any questions you have. Yvonne works with individual clients and also with companies such as Airbus Bristol, Lloyds bank across UK, Dubai Police on various training courses for stress management. Yvonne is Andy Roper's (our group member) wife and has very Kindly agreed to give this talk. Research shows that there is a strong link between tinnitus and stress. Managing stress sucessfully can help to reduce the impact of tinnitus. 27 April - Shakeela Rashid and Jessica Pollard from BTA will be giving a short talk. They will talk about the BTA and their roles within the charity and will also answer any questions relating to tinnitus 22 June 31 August - Janice Rossiter will be giving a short talk on Qigong. Qigong is a form of gentile exercise and is recognised as mind and body medicine. It focuses on the breath, posture and state of awareness. Through Qigong exercises practitioners are able to correct energy imbalances within the body 26 October - Victoria will be giving a taster session on chair based yoga/relaxation 14 December 3 pm- 5pm. -We will be meeting in Fox Den pub over a Christmas Drink.
