The BTA aims to ‘encourage and promote the provision of sufficiently trained people for the management/treatment of those with tinnitus.’ We seek to achieve this through supporting Bursaries for those who work within the NHS, supporting people with tinnitus. There is a separate Bursary scheme for tinnitus support group organisers or volunteers.

Bursary applications are considered for events including:

  • MSc modules
  • Conferences
  • Meetings
  • Training courses

Applications should be submitted no later than six weeks prior to the course commencing and the BTA will endeavour to make a decision within one week of submission.

The BTA anticipates awarding 1 or 2 bursaries per event, with a value up to a given maximum for each event, although additional bursaries may be awarded dependent upon available funds. These will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. As a condition of the BTA bursary, recipients are expected to submit a short report after the event.

To apply, please complete the downloadable Application Form and submit along with your Curriculum Vitae to our office.

Any event which helps us achieve our strategic priority above will be considered.

Before submitting an application, please download and read a copy of the Bursary Eligibility Criteria.
