Tony qualified as an audiologist in 1984, and has been working with individuals with tinnitus and hyperacusis throughout his career in both the NHS and private sector.

He left his position of Head of Audiology Services at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool in January 2020, but he remains active professionally.

He is passionate about tinnitus support and he founded the Aintree Tinnitus Support Group in 2008 and he has co-authored a psychologically integrated tinnitus consultation model.

He is a past member of both the British Tinnitus Association’s Professional Adviser's Committee and the British Society of Audiology’s Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Specialist Interest Group steering group.

He’s been married to Sue, a nurse, for 36 years (and counting) and has three children and three grandchildren (and counting …)

He’s a passive supporter of Liverpool Football Club and enjoys cooking.
