Researcher (and winner of the BTA Shapiro Prize) Dr Eldré Beukes needs your help to understand how Covid-19 is affecting your ability to manage tinnitus.

What are we doing?

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of millions of people around the globe, causing extraordinary disruption to the delivery of basic healthcare, economic activity, and basic social interactions.

It is an unprecedented time of uncertainty, which is why we want to understand how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting you and your ability to manage tinnitus and/or hearing loss.

How are we doing the research?

We are doing this by means of an online survey.

We would, therefore, be extremely grateful if you could take a moment to complete the anonymous survey. It should take around 10 minutes to complete.

All information collected will be encrypted and only viewed by the research team.

What do we hope to find out?

By taking this survey, you will help us better understand:

  • what support mechanisms are useful for managing heightened emotions of anxiety and fear;
  • what online tools are working/lacking for support when someone is isolated;
  • what coping mechanisms work best for most people.
