Online Journal Club

The monthly Online Journal Club

We are offering you the OJC free of charge, offering support with your CPD during these especially challenging times.

What is the online journal club?

Each month, we'll invite a different guest speaker to select and present a tinnitus-related paper for your discussion and debate – chaired by David Stockdale, Chief Executive of the British Tinnitus Association.

When can I take part?

The club will run on the third Thursday of the month, details of the upcoming sessions are listed below:

  • Thursday, 19 November 2020, 6-7pm: Professor David Baguley, Nottingham Hearing Biomedical Research Centre presents Bimodal neuromodulation combining sound and tongue stimulation reduces tinnitus symptoms in a large randomized clinical study. A copy of this paper will be emailed to you once your booking has been confirmed

  • Thursday, 17 December 2020, 6-7pm: Prof. Sven Vanneste, Professor in Global Brain Health, Trinity Inst. of Neurosciences (TCIN) presents: From Acute to Chronic Tinnitus: Pilot Data on Predictors and Progression

What will I need?

In order to participate, you will need access to the internet and a device that has a camera e.g. a webcam or smartphone. We will be using Zoom for online meetings.

Tinnitus is the perception of noises in the head and/or ear which have no external source, it is often described as buzzing or ringing in the ears. The British Tinnitus Association's vision is a world where no one suffers from tinnitus.
