As a result of Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing measures, we've introduced online tinnitus support groups and many of our independent local support groups have taken their sessions online too. Accessible no matter where you are in the world, these groups offer flexible support with your tinnitus from the comfort of your own home.

Facilitated by experienced support group leaders, BTA staff and/or hearing professionals, the meetings are scheduled on different days and at different times to offer a variety of options.

Please note: we want you to be able to get to know others in the group over time and don't want the groups to get too large, so please only sign up for one of the following groups (you can switch to a different group if you find the timing no longer works for you)

  • Third Wednesday of the month (6:30-8:00pm) - this group is for anyone who has never attended a support group before and is either new to tinnitus or has been particularly struggling with it lately. The first meeting will be on 20 January 2021

Invizear Tinnitus Support Group

In addition to running one of the BTA Online Tinnitus Groups, Alan Hopkirk also organises his own support groups which have a strong focus on taking action. These regular free meetings (generally every two to three weeks) are advertised on social media. They have also attracted visitors from far afield, throughout the U.K and overseas. Our protocol is that you will need a webcam or mobile phone to be able to attend. This is because the live video link helps overcome the lack of physical presence. It also encourages the sharing of experiences and establishes empathy within the virtual group
