Tinnitus Week 2021

Raising awareness and improving your patient journey.

During Tinnitus Week (1-7 February), we campaigned to make sure that everyone with tinnitus gets the right information, from the right place, at the right time.

Sadly, we know that a negative start to your tinnitus journey can have a serious impact on how you manage your tinnitus and your mental health. From being told to just learn to live with it by a medical professional to reading incorrect and potentially harmful information online.

We know that this is not the case for everyone, but we want to make sure that it is not the case for anyone.

Tinnitus is the perception of noises in the head and/or ear which have no external source, it is often described as buzzing or ringing in the ears. The British Tinnitus Association's vision is a world where no one suffers from tinnitus.
