Decide where you're going to start and where you want to finish. Pick places that mean something to you or that you've always wanted to visit - be adventurous! 

Head over to Google maps and enter your locations to find out the distance in miles. Then use a miles to steps converter to find out how many steps you'll need to make to complete your route. Most fitness trackers recommend a daily 10,000 step goal.

Set yourself a daily step goal and work out how long it will take to complete the challenge. We'll be in contact with you during your challenge and of course we'll congratulate you at the finish!

1 mile = 2,112 steps 100 miles = 211,200 steps
50 miles = 105,600 steps 500 miles = 1,056,000 steps

Here are some example routes with the target time based on an individual averaging around 10,000 steps a day:

Sheffield to London

158 miles = 333,696 steps

Target time: 1 month

Munich to Vienna

249 miles = 525,888 steps

Target time: 2 months

Paris to Toulouse

409 miles = 863,808 steps

Target time: 3 months

Lands' End to John O'Groats

811 miles = 1,712,832 steps

Target time: 6 months
